Daisy Diamond

A young Swedish woman moves to Denmark with dreams of becoming an actress, but struggles to get a break while also caring for her infant daughter. An interesting enough setup that is let down by a script that doesn't seem to have much to say about the suffering of its protagonist. That the audience is repeatedly subjected to the auditory assault of the baby wailing hysterically doesn't help matters. Noomi Rapace gets naked every 10 minutes or so, but there's not much else to see here.

First half was pretty interestingly executed (especially the sound design). Second half though is a downward spiral of poorly written sadism and so blatant clichés that it destroyed any chance for taking it seriously...
