Daddy's Head

I love the monster; from the design, to its voice, to the way it's utilized in the film. There are some genuinely scary sequences/shots. The script didn't wow me, it's fairly mundane in its approach to the story. I enjoyed it overall.

I’m never looking in the shadow of my room ever again. Quite formulaic, but still terrifying in parts.

The movie stands out for its cinematography, but its excessive minimalism harms the narrative. The script leaves crucial points undeveloped, offering no explanations. The main characters, already in a forced and unnatural setting, lack chemistry, making the experience frustrating and uninteresting. What could have been a solid horror premise falls short with a story that doesn't explore its concepts.
