It took me six sittings over two months to finally get through this 90s buffet of congealed mac 'n cheese and hastily carved slices of roast mystery meat. And much like every buffet I've been to in my life, I emerged from the experience full of guilt and regret. Why did I keep eating, you ask? Why, the reason everyone does--Rowdy Roddy Bacon.

Good start, but really slows down around half way through. A lot to like though, good costume, set design and world building.

Cheesy fun post-apocalyptic flick. I actually enjoyed the whole look of the film - dark, dirty and bare bones as it might be for the setting. The acting is fine and the movie moves at a good pace. The effects are the definite downfall though. If you can watch low budget sci-fi flicks, I say giver a go.

It was even more painful when I realised it was made in 1999...it has the trademarks of bad early 90s sci-fi - post-apocalyptic dystopias, primitive CGI, and clichéd sex scenes with soft dissolves. Its full of religious references but its as deep as a puddle and pretentious. Piper is wasted as a cult leader, and Carradine pops up impersonating Brando while talking through a female ventriloquist dummy with a blonde wig. The film should be a joyful car crash but its pretensions are mind numbing.
