Buried under disappointed Tarantinophiles who were only interested in its connection to Pulp and Dusk, but it deserves to be discovered for its atmosphere and visual style. One minute you're thinking, "Such a good script, why do they have to blare that fucking salsa at us so much? It's so distracting and annoying." But if you can work with that for an hour, you'll be rewarded with two very luridly fascinating characters, encased in the sudden and tense quiet of the final half hour.
