In better hands, this could've been the Scream of the 2000's. No, really. The premise is pretty neat, the performances are alright, & there are bits of really clever stuff throughout. The bones of something great are there, & the end result is engaging & watchable for at least that. Unfortunately, the dull characters & Saw-esque overuse of ridiculous twists makes for a finale that's more self-parody than clever genre spoof. Still, it was something different in a dull decade, & is worth a look.

A high school movie that tries to have a plot. How cute. Almost like a real movie.

AOL chat is super annoying. Stereotypical horror movies are super annoying as well. Combine the two for a TOTAL waste of time with no redeeming qualities.

Decent concept, but very badly executed. If I wanted to see naughty rich kids mess with each other, I'd watch "Horny Prep School Hos 3" again.

Passable noughties slasher is mild as a horror effort, never building much of a head of steam and seemingly more interested in the DAWSON’S CREEK-style shenanigans of its main characters; Bon Jovi channelling Kevin Bacon is the surprising stand-out as the film careens through its whiplash story twists with the style and finesse of a bumper car. As with many films of the period, its centering around the “brave new world” of the Internet makes this feel cringingly dated at times.

The idea is interesting but it's so sloppily written, directed, edited and shot it ends up being a wasted opportunity.

more convoluted than it needed to be just to wrap everything into something else that had been said or referenced. Lacks any real scares but I dunno I enjoyed the whole set up until the ending bungled it. Definitely a movie that gets worse the more you think about it. Liked the way only the colour orange pops not recommended except to those who like this era of shlock.

Has the kind of grimy/almost numetal visuals that stick it in the past in a bad way. Also has just twists on twists for the sake of having twists. Entertaining enough.

Someone in this movie gave love a bad name, but I'm not saying who.

Above average horror flick populated by a hit or miss cast and a hit or miss script with a hit or miss finale.

A second-rate slasher, but it shows the odd bit of directorial premise and a great deal of ambition.

Cheap rip-off of April Fool's Day. But seeing Bon Jovi die eased the pain

Very tight little mystery film, great soundtrack, well paced, and it's got Jared Padalecki from Supernatural in it.
Gary Cole was a weird choice to play the dad, they could have just hired an English actor, but his accent is fine. And Jon Bovi has surprised me in the roles I've seen him in so far.
Was going to rate it slightly lower until the last 10 minutes or so. I think the fact that I expected a straight horror film (didn't know jack about it) may have helped the enjoyment. Oh, and

It actually wasn't as horrible as I was expecting. Sure it was a pretty standard slasher film with few or no surprises, but at least it tried its best?

Probably your typical teen horror movie (haven't watched to many of them). I think the idea was intersting though. It's all about people tricking each other and reality getting mixed up with a game. Definitely has some twists.
