Cry of the Werewolf

A surpisingly effective low-budget effort. It isn't Val Lewton, but it tries to be, and the use of shadows is often creepily effective. Nina Foch is good as the werewolf gypsy princess, Blanche Yurka is her usual imposing self as her protector and friend, and Fritz Leiber, Sr. is excellent as Dr. Morris, curator of the museum.

I wish this had been more fleshed out, someone could remake this and give us a slightly longer movie that has more well, bite. Still I thought this was a decent horror flick.

Cry of the Werewolf (1944) is your typical B-horror. Has a few ideas, but execution takes the excitement out of most of them. Did have a few haunting scenes.

Not much to this movie. Pretty disappointing.

Another of the evil gypsy horror films from the '40s. It tries and mostly fails to be engaging and suspenseful. Feel much longer than ts actual run time.
