Cry of the Hunted

While emitting an atmosphere that Cape Fear does a lot better, this is a somewhat oddball police-tracking-the-bad-guy flick with some passable chase/fight sequences and a nutty dream scene. There's far too much messing around in boats, though, and, quite frankly, the ending makes it seem like the whole movie was wasted time.

Two men’s obsessions with freedom, the law and each other constantly intersecting

An effective thriller, with particularly good work from Sullivan and Gassman as two flawed sides of the legal system. Lewis creates a great Everglades atmosphere, and Conrad is delightfully disagreeable as usual. Typical great work by Lewis on a small budget.
