Comedy about an onion breeder (F. Nero) who has to defend his onion fields against a greedy oil company. Not as bad as many say, but despite a few nice slapstick scenes it's often also too silly not to be called awful. More boring than funny. In the end it's a film with a speaking horse, and maybe we won't like to see a curly haired Franco Nero having conversations with his horse. (spaghetti-western.net)

Silly, spoofish spaghetti western remains watchable but is too overstated and hectic to be satisfying, coming off as overbearing and abrasive instead; odd fantasy elements (the talking horse) are completely inexplicable. Teaming of Nero and Hayden as a dynamic duo should have produced more sparks; mainly worth watching for Balsam's hilarious villain, an oddball cross of Strangelove and Inspector Dreyfus!
