Crush

I've got a soft spot for movies like this. I'll be the first to admit that this movie is not as good as I'm rating it, but high school thrillers are like catnip to me, particularly when I see them right when school's letting out (I'm a teacher, which taints my opinion even further). This one's fairly straightforward, but it's got a neat climactic twist, and Crystal Reed effectively pulls off a cool junior Rooney Mara vibe. You could do worse.

The score is for the acting alone. To their credit these young pretty faces made the most out of extremely mediocre dialogue and an even more laughable plot.

I'll admit I'm a fan of the crazy stalker genre. This one won't define the genre at all but it was pretty interesting. It does have a pretty excellent twist that I was not expecting which is good. The acting is all great, Lucas Till from X-Men First Class did well, although I find it hard to believe a soccer player has this many women chasing him. I was happy to see Sarah Bolger in this. She played an excellent part and a mature departure from the Spiderwick Movie.

The points are for some of the good acting from a few actors and for the twist. The rest was just neutral
