Incredibly moving documentary featuring people who should be seen as heroes -- but very few people know about them.

This is such an important documentary about a subject that doesn't get talked about often. The footage from the camp was magical to see and I loved that actual hippies just set up a camp for disabled people. People might have been apprehensive at the start but it built up to something quite epic that stuck with so many people for all their lives. I also wasn't aware of what kind of efforts disabled people had to make in order to gain their rights in the US, so it was eye-opening that way, too.

Enjoyable, modestly moving documentary is a noble addition to a well-worn genre, though this time from the underseen "disability" perspective. Devotes about 50/50 of its time to the camp that started the revolution as opposed to the revolution itself, however the more interesting and focused material is at the camp, and the film might have been more satisfying if it focused even more on the moving personal stories of the attendees (and the power of being "seen", sometimes for the first time).

An insightful documentary with great (and often hilarious) interview subjects.

A well put together documentary that shows how important it is for children to have role models and something that opens up their eyes in seeing they are not alone. A great move to have the doc split, half about the camp and half about what these campers ended up doing. They're inspirations and a strong story that has gotten no press in history for how damn recent it is.

More important than actually engaging -- editing doesn't help much, specially in the second half -- but undeniably a strong piece on the mostly untold or at least hidden story of a minority pushing authorities for their rights -- equality, acessibility and dignity.

Important and warm. Heartfelt depiction of struggle for equality, arising just from recognising everyone as a person.

Pretty decent and well-made tribute to the disabled rights movement, which doesn't get a lot of credit.

An important but not often discussed topic and relatively interesting. There was only so much footage to work with from the time featured, but the documentary feels a little disjointed.
