Kind of a shame that this was the last film in the Crimson Bat series, as it has the best action of any of the movies, despite the formula "save the villagers" plot. Yôko Matsuyama is incredible in several fights against many opponents, killing dozens of men in continuous extended takes with her deft reverse swordplay. Tetsuro Tamba adds a touch of class to the proceedings as well, playing a mysterious ronin of unparalleled skill.
