Whip Wilson's first starring role. They gave him the "Whip" gimmick, so basically a rip-off of Lash LaRue, who was doing westerns at a rival poverty row studio at the time. The positive was that they managed to snap-up veteran character actor Andy Clyde as his sidekick. He brings the personality to a otherwise tired old formula. And this was the tired old formula oaters had been suffering from since the silent days. Cheap and standard in every way, though Whip did look the role of a cowboy hero.
