A bit of a soulless, if somewhat campy, vampire romp that apparently started life as a softcore erotic flick. They should have left the smut in, because there isn't much left to recommend this. It's all handled reasonably competently, but it is very tame. Probably on a par with the weaker Hammer efforts, it has some charm, but I don't feel compelled to check out the sequel just yet.

This is some seriously bad B-vampire flick. Like many horror movies from this era you might wonder "Where are the scares?" The answer is that there aren't any.

As a US PG-13 reviewed as being "Energetic, scary and funny" I wasn't expecting some of the more unsettling scenes (especially one which non-animal lovers may find amusing but really rather creeped me out). It generally seemed to vary in tone a little too often between funny, sexy and scary moments, however the end sequences have a great "cat and mouse" conversation (a little like the café scene in Heat in tone) and also there's a nice (if guessable) twist in there.

It has a few moments but otherwise not a great vampire movie.

All rather slow...until right at the end (when the Count dies in a veritable spasm of 1960s quick cuts).

Conde Yorga, Vampiro estreava há 50 anos no Japão. Caralho, que filme chato. Modorrento é pouco, a única parte que não me deu sono foi essa aqui: "The scene where Erica is discovered eating her pet cat was accomplished by slathering a sedated kitten with canned lasagna." Rá! Box Versátil Vampiros no Cinema Volume 2.

Decent and entertaining 70s take on Dracula. Robert Quarry is very charming as count Dracula... I mean Yorga.

Liked years ago when I saw it as a child, but WAY outdated and boring!
