Corruption

Cushing looks very out of place in this movie sometimes intentionally sometimes not. The music while good doesn't really work for me. Also, the ending was a little disapointing.

If anyone was expecting something on the same level as Eyes Without a Face they might be disappointed. Nonetheless, this is a compelling enough little thriller featuring a very good performance from Cushing and a few nasty moments to set the tone. That tone veers a bit, however, as the film lurches into camp from time to time, and starts getting a bit silly towards the end. "Yakety Sax" playing over one scene later on wouldn't have been out of place - it went a bit Benny Hill. Decent, though.

Cushing carries this movie on his shoulders. The poster is better than the movie.
