Considering that the war movie Corregidor (1943) came from PRC, it wasn't as painful as I feared. They actually captured the spirit a few times with very simple means. Managed to get a few familiar faces to star in this too, which helped. Not a memorable movie by any account, but solid effort from the smallest studio going in 1943.
