Simple and touching character study of 2 strangers forging a connection. Enjoyable but not always believable.

A bit like watching Before Sunrise, if it were dragged through the murkiness of millenial malaise. It's at least a well-shot film, even making the most out of confined spaces, but the film suffers the existential issue of why it has been made. The central relationship suffers the same vagueness, neither fully friendly nor fully romantic, it's stuck somewhere in the confusing middle, which the film can’t tenderly balance.

Comp 6 isn't necessarily the sort of movie that holds up to tons of intellectual scrutiny and easily summarized aesops. It's a ride. It's something fleeting, half-drunk, passing time as we keep going because you can't stay there. But it's a ride that stays with you a while.

“The power of youth is the common wealth for the entire world. The faces of young people are the faces of our past, our present and our future. No segment in the society can match with the power, idealism, enthusiasm and courage of the young people.” - Satyarthi… Light 7

I was expecting a comfy Siberian love story Russian-style (when I'll learn not have expectations), and I got an interesting drama that leaves you questioning the motives of a Russian drunk with possibly abusive mother on one side, and an aspiring intellectual and her experience of rejection on other. Would it be more than a one night romance? Could it be? Ever, in real world? Nobody knows, I think. Maybe it's a story about accepting people who you have prejudices against or seem foreign to you.

Less about the actions unfolding and more about the connection that develops between two seemingly incompatible individuals. Its execution feels modest and unassuming, yet will eventually reward your patience. Cute and somewhat affecting, if not much more.

Not a bad movie per se but I also not particularly believable, imo

Uyku getirici. Filmdeki ritm sonlara doğru dibe vuruyor. Festival ağır abi filmlerinden. Filmin sonunda, haista vittu. Yok Petroglif falan. Gidiş dönüş Moskova

I appreciate how humanistic this movie is. Once the characters, who look unstable at first, find the chance to unfold they might become likable. Now I’m looking forward to my next long train-trip.

Cute little road movie about human connection and the little surprises we find in life once in a while. Before Sunrise with no sun.

Makes great use of its setting and has a topic that I'm very attracted too, but for all its artistic aspiration some of the major emotional turning points feel like they come directly from a screenwriter's mind (and one who has never been around strangers at that).

This is continuing the trend of recent Finnish films trying to do something different. There’s actually very little Finnish spoken as it takes place on a train heading to Murmansk, Russia. It feels fresh and the actors have a good chemistry. Story is simple, but there's a heavy atmosphere and you can feel the freezing cold outside the train and smell the sweat & vodka inside. There are a couple of carefully selected 80’s tracks that fit well. It reminded me of Wong-Kar Wai and Before trilogy.

A girl goes to Russia to spend some time with her girlfriend. They arrange a trip to visit some petroglyphs but her girlfriend doesn't eventually join because of work. During her trip in the train, she travels with a young guy who's a worker in a mine, drunks a lot but in general he's funny and knows how to enjoy simple life. She fells in love with him despite the gap between them seems huge.

Intellectual phantasy of finding the connection and sincerity on the road. Unfortunately, this is not a type of story I wanted to believe. I don't know if the director believes it neither. Some of the most important turning points of the film rely on the coincidences. I can't believe people find similarities with Before Sunrise.

By-the-book, modest arthouse charmer that doesn't really invoke a lot of discussion or thought. I was not entirely convinced with these 2 people falling in love with eachother, but it sure was cute(sy). Some mildly interesting camerawork, but it wasn't there to elevate the simple story to a higher plan.

A well paced road movie/love story of two extremes on the Russian Murmansk train. Good performances and full of close-ups. You got on the skin. The destination was not a point but a way to get there.
