Shamrock, Lucky, and the Colonel arrive in Cactus Junction where they are given badges by the Sheriff and offered money by Morgan to drive the ranchers off the land. Instead they bring in the outlaw Loco Joe and two of his henchmen. Dissatisfied with the original three, Morgan now makes the same offer to the three outlaws. (imdb)

Hopalong's sidekicks Shamrock & Lucky join forces once again, and here the problem making a duo becomes very clear. As they practically played the same character on Hoppy's show, they are just too much alike to stand-out from each other. Shamrock as the flirt make him the main guy, but he was never a super over guy on top. The tough guy moments wasn't that convincing, as it was always more the charming side of these guys that was their appeal, so it's mainly a semi-cute B-western with the boys.
