Stupid period where Arnold was against using guns but had no problem maiming people with his bare hands. I love when they give Arnold jobs in movies like it even matters. Sure he kills the villain with a fire axe because we know he’s a firefighter, but could you imagine what would’ve happened if Arnold was a pastry baker? Studio Ghibli’s My Neighbor John Turturro

Needed more rocket launchers, mini-guns, cloaking devices, Crom, jet packs, liquid titanium... Even a few kindergarteners would have helped. Still, Arnold clings to the bottom of a truck for God-knows how many kilometers so...I'm required to give him at least 50 points for that.

Easily among Arnie's worst just for the fact that it simultaneously lacks personality and any entertaining action. It's so funny to watch this because it feels like the script is holding Arnie back from saying quippy one-liners but he still slips in a few. It's also insanely dumb when looking at this narratively. The film does not care in the slightest about the broader political implications it deals with, instead just wants us to be pro-America ignoring everything about the war on drugs.

Uncommonly tone-deaf and wrong-headed Arnie vehicle seems to want to be both a genuinely grim, serious minded story of revenge, and a more typical Arnie shoot-em-up and tastelessly melds the two – it’s hard to find much thrill and joy in an actioner that starts with the literality of a bloodied child’s corpse, and this gives the film an ugly pallor that it never quite recovers from, though Arnie proves here as elsewhere that he does have the acting chops to play a more serious minded character.

This film is from the time where terrorists had still style. They didn't use rusty knives or stinky vans like losers now. Instead of it, they carried an expensive suitcases of death. Enough of this and something about this movie. Its a bit slow and boring, and predictable. There is some good bits and pieces but better to skip this movie.

Collateral Damage was another reason why Arnold Schwarzenegger needed an absence from movies. The turn of the millennium didn't treat Arnold too well and poor films like this seemed to age him and take away his screen presence and credibility. What happened in this film? It just plodded along at such a forgettable and un engaging pace. There was little to no excitement and nothing you want and expect from Arnold is present. The whole thing is just a forgotten blur in my mind. Arnold's worst.

Sure it's pretty unrealistic that a fireman could be this awesome, but still this is a solid acion movie. (Admit it!) Plus you get to see Arnold bite a man's ear off. There is a nice twist in the plot which I didn't see coming, and the cast is strong from top to bottom. Not the best of Arnold's work but a solid effort nonetheless that anyone can enjoy on a rainy evening with some popcorn.

A strange hybrid for a Schwarzenegger action film. One part rarely found in his previous work I have seen is a level of seriousness involving terrorism, furthered by the fact that this film was shelved for a short time because of the 9/11 bombings, and an attempt to show moral ambiguity amongst both sides. By the end however it just turns into Arnold against the obvious baddies. Neither side of the film is engaging.

Throughout the movie, I kept wondering what is wrong with Francesca Neli's face. She has that "fish lips" or "duck face" thing going on, big time. I don't know why people think that looks good, but it looks really stupid and I can't take her character seriously when she looks retarded. Not like that really matters, as it is a fairly generic and predictable kind of movie anyway.

Being a child of the 80's, Arnold was hero to us all. That's why seeing our hero advancing in age, and still trying to recreate the Commando days stung so much. The action was subpar, and the story didn't seem to move anywhere. This is definitely not in the running for best Arnold film.

One of the last Arnold movies, and even though it doesn't hold a candle to the early period (ie; Commando, Predator), it still gets a perfect score simply for being Arnold. And no T3 doesn't count because I stand by the fact that the Terminator movies only feature Arnold, they're not "Arnold" movies in the way that Commando is.

Movies are around for you to get away from it all, to imagine the most improbable scenarios in real life and have fun. Don't get me wrong, I love the movies that can move you, but sometimes I just need something where I can sit back and watch some get blown up or get an axe through his chest or... you get the idea. This movie does the trick if a good ass-kicking is what you're looking for.

It stretches believability in nearly every frame, even for an Arnold flick, and plus it's not the "Commando" you want it to be. As a Schwarzenegger action-film, there's nothing exceptional about it. He doesn't even use a gun, though he does bite off a man's ear.
