Likeable for the minimalism and directness of its script, and for the relentlessly logical and emotionless world view of its central character. The humour is essentially black but tends more towards the quirky or weird. Good casting. Decent direction and production values despite the small scale of the film, a good example to budding filmmakers. The ending was slightly weak; the film seems to chicken out of having a message, after suggesting for quite a while that it is going to have one.

Saying this Jason Priestley movie is worth watching probably sounds like, "Hi! I have no taste in movies." But this entertains throughout despite being cast deliberately with the intention of keeping you away. Fox produced and has an excellent cameo. Everyone is likable, including 90210's boy toy that wasn't Luke Perry. Comparison time: JP in Tombstone vs LP in Fifth Element. JP in this vs LP in Normal Life. Unfair advantage for Normal Life: Ashley Judd's jugs. Irregardless Winner: Luke Perry

A good Jason Priestley movie? And even more impressive: A good Jason Priestley performance? I'm somewhat amazed!

So many actors get made fun of because they were in a show like 90210, but then they star in a movie like this and you get to see that they are the real deal.
