Craig Sheffer slumming it like Seagal, Louis Mandylor did good with what he had to work with. Steven Seagal, well Seagal was used wisely and by wisely I mean sparingly. The less said about the pitiful CGI the better. This was one of the better films in my Seagal marathon at least so far.

Quite good pacing and a handful of ruthless assassinations. Still pure trash. Seagal doesn't utter a single word the first 47 minutes.

Easily the best Seagal film since he became completely irrelevant. It's relatively ambitious, poorly acted but decidedly non Seagal-heavy, and the song playing over the credits had some rad tapping action going on. The lead actor doesn't seem like a martial arts master at all, but it was a nice change of pace to not have to watch Seagal's samey aikido fluff for more than one scene. Probably liked it more than it deserved just for how sparingly it used sensei Seagal, really. 31st film of 2018.

**major spoilers** Abysmal action film is oddly constructed in a way that seems as if an ageing Seagal was inserted sometime during post production to add some star-power -- all for naught either way, as he delivers a dull, disconnected performance, and the rest of the minor league cast fair no better. Shamelessly cheats and copies from much better films, and owes its head shaking final twist to FIGHT CLUB - though the bizarre final scene throws in a bit of mystical junk for the hell of it.
