Blandity bland-bland bland. I always get kind of a kick out of these stuffy jaw-clenching British paper-shuffling conspiracy thrillers, and I'd miss them if they were gone, but most of them tend to be staid and dull and ham-fisted, and this one's no exception. In about two months, I'll forget that I ever saw this.

An okay political thriller but I mostly enjoyed Rebecca Hall.

Perplexing film in that the stakes seem very low, but are treated as very high, while the real issue hinted at in the title is ignored almost entirely. Eric Bana's accent is challenging to put up with, and he's on screen for so much of the film.

Bana was probably hired for his previous paranoia role in Munich, a film that was handled by Spielberg with much more composure than this outing. Started with a strange odd-couple set-up for what was made out to be heavy material. Really missed out on playing the realistic angle rather than a contemporary drama with modern score. I do enjoy more & more endings to films where their characters just give up, continuing with their lives, most likely depressed, as the over-bearing problem remains.

Closed Circuit hides something too: the secret that it could've been a "safer" PG-13-level legal thriller had it not been for all the f-words. Despite being predicated on an act of violence, little blood is shown. Though a central plot point hinges on infidelity, overt sexuality is restrained to smooches and longing looks. Unlike modern London, apparently, much goes unseen onscreen. (pluggedin.com)

My first indications that this was going to be better than it's low ratings was the cast and the fact that it was a Focus Features film.

I expected to see a lot more cameras, considering the title and all. Still, this movie had some enjoyable moments. It had me wondering who to trust and it also had me wondering why it was called Closed Circuit "They See Your Every Move" for the tagline. CCTV was hardly used in the film...

The soapy, 'closed-courts for dummies' propaganda-piece opening is thankfully a red herring. A slick and enjoyable -though far-fetched- conspiracy thriller with some cyberparanoia. Minimal electronica -the new spy jazz?

A completely forgettable story and in the end you keep wondering was it even worth to see till the end. Eric Bana and Rebecca Hall's got a good chemistry anyway.

average political thriller... It interested me just a bit since the terrorist and his family were native Turkish people

So very bland, in a way only the British can manage.

Just your average political thriller where antagonists in the employ of the state engage in Brechtian monologues and characters who hold professions of high moral character like "lawyer" or "reporter" are our only hope.

Entertaining for its running time, but forgotten nearly immediately afterwards. A bland and typical political thriller.
