Clara

A movie about a scientist who doesn't believe in mumbo-jumbo but then it's all about the mumbo-jumbo. It was somewhat entertaining and engaging but the ending was a letdown. The romantic relationship never took shape, and the other events while not bad were not particularly worthwhile. There was not much to take away from this. I wouldn't call it particularly bad, just unnecessary.

good movie

Clara seemingly fits into the genre of Christian films (which admittedly I've seen very little of) in that it collides a jaded scientist with a well-travelled pedlar of new-age nonsense. While that may be a little harsh, it's an accurate description. Bellisario & Adams play their characters well enough, but can't push past the clichéd writing & contrived plot. The sci-fi aspect seems like an afterthought & comes too late to make an impact. The film may look & sound okay, but is otherwise empty.

This is not actually a film, but a collection of overused clichés.
