Chuka

The titular gunslinger (Rod Taylor) finds himself stuck in a fort manned by once-errant soldiers and officers, led by a cynical coward (John Mills), and with the woman he loved and lost (Luciana Paluzzi), as the Arapaho prepare to attack. Moderately interesting Western, with some interesting ideas and strong moments ill-served by too many underdeveloped characters and a weak plot. Solid performances, especially by Mills and James Whitmore as a stewed old scout; surprisingly downbeat ending.
