With the aim of pleasing his dearest friend, a heart patient, & giving him a memorable vacation before he returned back to America, Kaimal (Nedumudi) recruits a thief Vishnu (Mohanlal), to act as the husband of his dearest friend's daughter Kalyani (Renjini), after Kalyani was snubbed by her lover Ravi (Shanawas) on the day of their wedding.
