Chinatown Squad

Such wonderful hokum! Wish Murray Roth had done more features. His lack of polish or a clear style kept him back, but there is so much humor and detail in this suspense'r, snappy too. Don't get me wrong, it's a B-movie all rushed wish a ludicrous script. Roth keeps it together, Lyle Talbot has a damn good time investigating. Andy Devine gets quality time as the comic relief, and when you're tired of watching his ugly mug the lovely Valerie Hobson turns up and makes the screen beautiful.
