The first half; in which we are introduced to the idea of two desperate individuals playing an escalating game of cat-and-mouse against each other; is brilliant. The simple formula of vengeful conflict between two individuals holds great promise. However, a lot of interest is lost when the focus shifts to the wrongdoings of an entire law firm. Moreover, the end seems far too "happy" to tack onto the end of such a dark, foreboding first half which promised to build to a shattering climax.

Affleck and Jackson are doing fine job playing two guys within escalating battle. The script is excellent and is demanding a lot from two lead actors. Viewers probably need to guess, which one is good guy and that is always big plus for the movie.

My summary of this film. Apply the following line of dialogue to either Affleck's or Jackson's characters; "OH MAN I WAS IN AN ACCIDENT I FEEL BAD FOR THE OTHER GUY. WAIT NO HE'S A JERK!" Repeat as necessary, and you've pretty much got the upshot of this thing.
