Champions would've been great (in hushed tones) if this was made by the Farrellys in the 90s - Warren was a king, frank n beans! Too gentle and safe but it's a passable lazy Sunday

Woody Harrelson leads a film that has a tremendous amount of heart at the core of the story. There are some genuinely funny moments in this film that make it easier to buy into the premise. A very good movie that will have you cheering and tearing up at times. Loved it.

I'll never say this is amazing but I also think that it's a movie that's difficult to not enjoy, at least a little bit. It's surprisingly funny. It follows the "person doesn't like where he is but learns to like it" trope but that can be done well. I don't want to see the version of this movie where that doesn't happen. The entire cast does well. Mostly predictable, but the end of the final game is a slight twist, though thematically it makes sense. Emotional, and heartwarming.

If someone's retarded, it's the guy who wrote this formulaic feelgood piece of crap. Just a complete airball.

The old and tired 'bunch of misfits comes good' trope is revivified successfully here because Harrelson takes his role seriously as do the genuinely entertaining cast of actors with intellectual disabilities. Bobby Farrely's nous for risqué comedies no doubt also plays a role in transcending the clichés of this genre. I have yet to see the original French film.

The script is mostly predictable. However the cast is very likeable and makes the materiel enjoyable. The actors seem to be having a blast with their roles. Overall I would recommend this film.

This film was too cheesy and sentimental for my taste. A bit predictable. It has some amusing moments and some nice bits but overall it felt a little too forced, or obvious, if that makes sense?. The fact it features the song 'Tubthumping' by 'Chumbawamba' which was a hit back in the late 90s kind of highlights how dated it feels, although ok this film isn't quite the same as 'The Ringer', where Johnny Knoxville plays a guy pretending to qualify for the 'special olympics'.

Not great but definitely decent, and it is funny and feel good if that is what you are in the mood for.

Well, I don't know why I loved so much this movie. It's a movie descent (or mediocre) on every aspect... but somehow out this mediocracy, a greatness came out... and this is something difficult to describe it. Maybe It's like Miami Heat!! An average 8th seed with 7 undrafted players that manage to produce greatness, out of their mediocracy, reaching the NBA finals!

Woody Harrelson getting a very special team to coach. Loose format to have fun and inspirational feel good movie on. More a pleasant one than one that bangs hard on the emotional drum, but not impossible a more focused edit would have been preferred.

It's a good, feel-good movie. I felt good when I watched it.

The story's direction lacks suspense, but Farrelly's inclusion of disabled actors allows them to be more than just tools for Marcus' redemption. However, Marcus' quick transformation results in scenes of him simply hanging out with the team, occasionally featuring gross-out gags and numerous training montages. While it's more nice than good, it's undeniably heartwarming.

Wholesome feel-good movie. Woody Harrelson is a pro basketball coach who ends up court-ordered to coach a special needs team. Of course, it changes his life and theirs.

While "Champions" is well-intentioned and includes a wonderful sense of inclusion, it ultimately falls short due to the script's misplaced focus and lack of real stakes in the sports drama. The chemistry between Harrelson and Olson is a highlight, as is the ensemble's joyous performance, but the film falls short in celebrating its disabled cast members' talents. The unimaginative filmmaking and abrupt ending make for a somewhat forgettable experience.
