Chained for Life

The Siamese twins from Freaks (1932) return to the screen 20 years later with a exploitive picture of murder and how to punish the the killer without punishing her innocent conjoined sister. That, along with elements from their real life in between cheap vaudeville acts stretching out the time. The sisters do a few songs as well. Chained for Life (1952) is more interesting for novelty acts, sisters included, than the plot itself. They execute it in such a boring manner, it never comes to life.

Must have been either very therapeutic or the exact opposite to make this.

Not nearly as exploitative as everyone seems to say it is. It's a pretty straight forward story, with no real "shock" and some pretty bad acting. Unless the simple novelty of Siamese Twins in the 50's is enough for you, which it was for me, I can't recommend seeing it. Freaks II this ain't.
