Chain Lightning

What I find pretty remarkable about this one is the production was quite literally flying blind - they were making up what Jet Plane Stuff might be with their best guess, and their guesses were, overall, pretty legit. It suffers with its characters since they’re mostly stock (all pilots want to be Icarus, and all love triangles want to be Casablanca) and unlike the jets, they don’t go anywhere. Should still be seen by those interested in special effects of the period.

The type of aviation film that was the hottest thing in the 1930s. By 1950, not so much. But it sent Humphrey Bogart with flying speed out of Warner Bros, his final film for the company that made him a Hollywood icon. He's good in this movie, but there's not much memorable material presented.
