Césio 137 - O Pesadelo de Goiânia

A severe episode of contamination by radioactivity occurred in Brazil. The contamination began on September 13, 1987, when a device used in radiotherapy of the premises of an abandoned hospital was found in the central part of Goiânia. The instrument irresponsibly left, was found by scavengers in a junkyard site, they understood that it was junk.
