It is 1957. A pulp horror artist (played by Jeffrey Combs) creates a horror cartoon creature named Cellar Dweller, incorporating actual occult texts into his drawings. The creature promptly comes to life and is briefly battled by Combs before his home is engulfed in fire, killing him. Cut to the present. A gifted young cartoonist moves into the now-restored Combs household to gain inspiration from the surroundings of her favorite cartoonist. (Chas. Balun)

There's an episode of Tales From the Crypt with Harry Dean Anderson that does the same thing this movie does in a third of the time. While HDA is no Jeffrey Combs, that doesn't warrant the extension. Having said that, I will always take comically bad practical monsters over embarrasing CGI monsters.

Bungalow ... Juggalo. Go walk around in your basement for 70 minutes and you'll have just as much fun , might even bump into Jeffrey Combs.

Seventy minutes of dumb fun that could have used more Jeffrey Combs. Buechler's effects are pretty darn good though.

Could have been special with just a few tweaks. Great cast, great effects work, great plot. But there's not enough time spent building the characters and the story to a satisfying end. Had that aspect been better, I think this would be remembered more fondly.

Schlocky cheesy 80's horror about "art", worth the watch for low-rent genre fans. An artist commune is plagued by a demonic monster brought to life by a comic book artist, years after her idol was killed by the same beast. The monster is powered by human imagination and kills through the film's story boards. The opening "staring" Jeffery Combs is fun, and so is most of the monster fun through the rest of the movie.

I enjoyed this one. The effects are great and we get to see the monster a lot more than I thought we would get. I love the premise and the atmosphere that Buechler creates is nice. Jeffrey Combs shows up for the opening and he is a lot of fun as well.
