A uneven Italian military drama which follows a officers troubled love story and dedication to the cavalry. The story never really comes as intimate as it tries to be and in the end falls for a very random destiny. However Amedeo Nazzari in his movie debut looks like a dashing tall charmer and the centering around horses help give it some much needed focus.
