Catacombs

This British riff on "Diabolique" is not nearly as stylish, but it does have some effective scenes -- especially the ones that take place in the country house. If you've seen the original or the copy-cats that it spawned, you should have a pretty good idea where this is heading. I didn’t think the young niece falling for the uncle played by Gary Merrill was very believable, but as the film goes to show, maybe that was intentional.
