Castle Falls

A very poorly constructed movie. There are quite a few amped up scenes, but the story is unconvincing to say the least.

A decent if oft-told story and setup, with serviceable acting, weak and generic villains, and a subpar soundtrack. But, the action is good and the movie as a whole is entertaining. This looks and feels like what it is, a lower-budget DTV film, and I for one am okay with that.

Gotta love how this is truly committed to slick, brutally physical action scenes, mostly contained in the second half, when an abandoned hospital is about to be demolished. Rest of it is just ok, because it takes some 40 minutes or more to get things really started -- a bunch of backstory comes first to tell us Adkins is a MMA fighter figuring out what to do when his career hits a wall, Lundgren is a jail guard with bills to pay with his daughter trying to survive cancer.
