Released later in the same year as its predecessor, Wong Jing's lengthy and involved crime epic Casino Tycoon II continues the story of Benny Ho Hsin (Andy Lau) who rose from poverty in the first film to become a real-estate and casino mogul despite suffering numerous tragedies along the way.
