Carmen

One of many silent films of the Spanish gypsy Carmen. This one's Jacques Feyder's Carmen (1926). Longer then any of them! And that's it's downfall. It's longer, but doesn't really add anything vital to the story. And there had been stronger actors in the other Carmen's of the silent era. But it's not a film one just brush under the carpet because there are better adaptations. Feyder goes more in-depth in the story trying to build a stronger connection between the sorry souls.
