It's a film with personality, but you would never had guessed it to be a drama with the comical faces they were pulling. Thankfully the bloody stabbing at the end set the record straight. For it wasn't really a silent for me. Apparently it was a big success in Spain back in the day, but I doubt many would care today except for film historians with a special liking of classic Spanish cinema.
