Car Wash

Typical slice of life movie, this time at a car wash. I liked the social commentary played out by the different character tropes, including the college-educated white wannabe revolutionary, Carlin's talkative taxi driver, and the biting-remark queer POC. Fav scenes: the aforementioned people talking/being talked down to.

A pointless, but fun little movie. Even though Pryor and Carlin are featured, they have very little screen time. Unforgettable characters and an awesome soundtrack make this film something to watch.

Works almost more as a bunch of sketches and subplots woven together into a movie. Still it's funny, has some touching moments and is a good snapshot of an era long gone by.

I remember really liking this when I was younger but recently saw it again, and it wasn't very funny at all. Not awful, just not as I remembered it. Good music though.

A whole movie based on a stupid song yields a stupid movie.

Carlin and Pryor are more or less wasted with unfunny roles. The rest of the cast is fine, and although the film seems to be pointless , it's a fun and entertaining film nonetheless.

Funky soundtrack a few laughs but much else here.
