Captain Swagger (1928) is a easy charmer. Combines most elements for a hour worth of entertainment and shows what a solid leading man Rod La Rocque was in his day. Opposite he had Sue Carol. A sparkling actress who didn't do very well after sound arrived. One of the forgotten naughty dames of the transition years. She definitely had the sparkle in her eye here, though that doesn't help much when it's not exactly a high priority picture we're dealing with. But it makes it easier to enjoy.
