Shirley the lighthouse keeper's daughter surrounded by sailors and from them she learns how to sing, dance and spit.... just like a sailor! But some don't think that's proper environment for a child and want to take her away. Guy Kibbee as a baby looked adorable! Slim Summerville as her uncle-figure was also a solid character and a good double-team with Kibbee. Temple did her cute singing as she always does and the mood of this film was constantly alive. Another delightful Shirley Temple movie!

Old fashioned but charming enough - A simple story with a happy resolution, good hearted characters versus a outsider baddie and a few song and dance routines. People must have loved it 80 years ago!
