Such a shame only 1/4th (28 minutes) of the original epic of Rafael Sabatini novel, Captain Blood (1924), survives today. The 1935 remake with Errol Flynn is one of the all-time great classics, and you can see the ambition of Vitagraph silent version as well. I won't claim it's Flynn-level presense by J. Warren Kerrigan, but it's so good you have to swear a few times that nobody took care of the original prints so we could see this exciting sea adventure in it's true form today.
