This is apparently Werner Herzog's Favorite movie, and although I won't go that far, it is amazing considering the cheap footage, short running time, and unusual subject. Mark Lewis makes the nature documentary darkly hilarious and sheds real light on destructive animal-human relationships.

Informative and amusing, but those two things don't really mesh very well. Cane Toads are treated as both an impending menace and a joke and each aspect undermines the other. Even so, each aspect works well enough that it's still worth a watch.

The Cane Toads are a common thread that ties a bizarre pack of characters together, but at first glance you might not have noticed the director's brilliant undocumentary touches that really take these real-life life people into the strange folk they could be.

Those toads are damn cute, but they multiply like bunnies and are taking over the world. And it was quite awful to see that kid play with the toad.

Short, amusing documentary about cane toads in Queensland Australia. I feel bad for the toads after seeing Monica play with one.

Stoner flick disguised as an ecological documentary. Infinitely amusing to those in the right "state of mind."
