Calvin Marshall

Calvin Marshall (the film, not the character) tries to do far too much in an hour and a half, and ends up not really doing anything spectacularly well. Alex Frost is decent, and actually reminds me a young John Cusack, but Calvin the character just isn't very deep. Events are slapped together, things aren't explained, and it's a pretty stock story overall. This is a shame, because it's not often you see Honus Wagner references in a non-Ken Burns film. At least Steve Zahn is still hilarious.
