It took a while for me to get accustomed to the atypical animation style, which looks like an awkward cross between previzualisation and a 90's video game cut scene. Regardless, the entire premise is just a lazy way of setting up a thoroughly uninvolving war story that offers little in the way of depth or emotional heft.
