Caddo Lake

It’s basically the German Netflix series “Dark” but in movie form. Like Dark, once it shows its hand, it becomes apparent how certain things will play out, which removes any questions or tension as to what will happen next. While it’s a bit less tedious due to its short length, it’s also far less complex. It’s still a decent watch, but it’s not particularly innovative.

The twist(?) is well conceived and executed, but other than that this movie has nothing compelling going on, and character motivations become increasingly irrational leading to the dickpunch ending. At least it's competently crafted until they start doing CGI boat flips and car spins.

wow absolutely my taste in mystery movies ..

It seems clever at first, but the whole story doesn't stand up to closer analysis. It's still entertaining, although I haven't seen a script this absurd since Predestination (2014).
