C.R.A.Z.Y.

An amazingly rich coming-of-age story. Quite possibly one of the most well-directed films I have ever seen. Vallée's stylistic choices are impressive yet never too imposing. Performances are superb all round, though with the actor playing the father being the obvious stand-out. The portrayal of family dynamics seemed utterly authentic, and I loved how the movie chronicles several years, always maintaining Zach's point of view, making it both epic and very personal.

That was an unexpectedly mesmerizing and artful direction. The 'family' movies from Canada lately have much more punch and soul in them; and I like it!

Genuine, heartfelt acting combined with an excellent screenplay equals a great movie.

Quirky in a truly original way and bizarre while charming, it breaks the conventions of the "coming of age" film just by being genuine without an agenda.

Exceptionally well done. Very rich deep characters who live in a very palpable world. Good performances all around and very natural dialogue.

One of the best films about family relationships that I've seen, unsentimental but moving. The editing is terrific: snappy, but always adding to the richness of the story, never gimmicky. A gem.

Enjoyable, impassioned coming of age portrait is undone somewhat by an inherent familiarity to the territory covered, and a leading character who seems to be a bit of an underdeveloped cipher (though well-played by Grondin). One suspects Vallée is working through some personal demons here, but his screenplay too often makes its point, and then continues on ad infinitum; a sudden shift in focus to another character in the third act is a disorienting blindside.

I thought it'd be gayer(? but it is still a wonderful film, truly a masterpiece.

Ultimate family movie. Every scene were planned in near perfection and the soundtrack was one of the best.

Incredible entertaining family drama and comedy that doesn't go for the easy plot, I really had a good time listening to the music and watching the different looks of the characters

The family dynamics are spot-on and true to life, as if the films sometimes not entirely perfect narrative arc - it feels like a life rather than a film. The stylistic choices of the director do however clash a little with this and make some moments feel like they were lifted from a much more hysterically dramatic film - evens out in the end though, very enjoyable.

Really a wonderful coming-of-age flick, with a great family dynamic and interesting, believable characters.

Although it can be smartass and superficial, "C.R.A.Z.Y." is ultimately a successful, even touching coming-of-age tale, benefeting from a terrific (if predictable) soundtrack and Vallée's zany visual style.

Beautifully directed and realistic with the only exceptions being the main character (the director's alter ego?) being just a bit too perfect and his feud with his brother feeling really forced.

Seemingly owing a lot of its look 'n' feel from other artificially colored movies such as Ma Vie en Rose, while apparently not understanding why filmmakers would make such a choice, this energetic not-quite a sex comedy works hard for not much emotional payoff. The characters are never more than props, regardless of the tragedies and situations they encounter and I found I didn't care that much about any of it by the time it was all over.

Possibly the best movie I`ve ever seen on family relations...Directing, script, cast, soundtrack, acting all fit together wonderfully...

Sorry, must be 50. Here is the problem: there are two super-different films trapped inside one body. The fi?st one is awesome, the other is terrible. One is rated 100 and the othe 0. So.. I had to sum it up. One tip: watch until his brother injects. Good editing could have made it a 100.
