Bwana Devil

The first 3D feature film. Also the first 3D feature in color. I saw it in 2D, which partly beats the purpose, but not really. You can sense when the gimmick scenes are, and it doesn't feel like they are a game changer as far as the story goes, but sure, 3D effects was why it was a success. Basic colony story set in Africa with lions on attack. Solid enough production, and cheesy cool animal angle. Robert Stack tries to take it serious, and Nigel Bruce helped give it a familiar vibe.
