Lifeless action/comedy seems to be trying for a 48 HRS vibe but can never rise above the incoherent and idiotic screenplay - as motivations of major characters veering wildly from scene to scene, the movie never establishes a continuity in its plot or characterisations, and the impact of its action scenes are muffled by their arbitrary (and brutal) nature. Surprisingly, it is the combined effort of Wayans and Sandler which make a few scant lines get a chuckle, but Caan should have stayed home!

Viewed October 8, 2021. Mediocre but interesting as a movie from Sandler’s classic period that suggests a very different route his career could have taken, before his stardom and style were codified. Sandler is very funny throughout this otherwise standard action comedy and, while he utilizes the same puppy dog vulnerability that’s central to all of his characters through to Hubie Halloween and Uncut Gems, his delivery is much closer to the tossed off style of Tarantino or Shane Black.

Rock Keats and Archie Moses are best friends and have been involved in several petty crimes over the past year. Everything changes when they get involved in a major drug smuggling operation. Rock Keats turns out to be called Jack Carter, and to be an undercover cop. Moses agrees to act as a witness in the case on one condition: Carter must act as an escort. What the two former friends don't know, however, is that criminals want to take out Moses.

Have not seen this in many years. The Sandler-Wayans duo is sufficiently dynamic, but there is not a lot else going on.

Que conste nos autos que só suportei assistir um filme dublado do Adam Sandler porque não era aquele insuportável dublador usual dele. TV aberta.

Bulletproof is a weak 'buddy' action comedy that wastes the talents of Wayans and Sandler. Gayton's script is a mess of cliches and questionable plotting, and Dickerson's direction wavers wildly between routine and bad. When things aren't working, which is often, the relentless wall-to-wall soundtrack is there to create interest and/or energy where there is none, betraying a complete lack of faith in the material. There is plenty of action, but the dearth of real laughs is what finally kills it.

I loved this the first time I watched it. Then I saw Midnight Run and was like..."ohhhhhhh"

This movie has some annoying cliches of action movies that makes it simply impossible to watch, pretty bad.

Not fantastic, but Sandler & Wayans work well together. Overall it's a decently funny action comedy worth a watch.

Sandler is capable of being funny, of course in this he isn't, Wayans I am starting to think is not capable of being funny at all.

There are so many reasons why I shouldn't like this film... Adam Sandler, for one, and James Caan humiliatingly subordinated to him and Damon Wayans, for a big number two. Nonetheless, I find this to mostly work. The subplot of having a close friend who's a chronic screwup hits close to home for me personally

As the cinematographer for Spike Lee, director Ernest Dickerson garnered some respect in the filmmaking community. But now, like a dog let off his leash, he's running around Hollywood dropping turds.

The chemistry between Wayans and Sandler was actually very good. Stock movie premise, sure. But it was still pretty damn funny.

Two very hialrious comedians come together in a very funny comedy. The one problem is that it feels neither truly gets to bloom completely as they have to split teh screen time and you always wish you got to see more of both of them.
