The detective angle was okay but the romance and comedy fell flat for me.

The actual crime was less exciting then the the romance between Drummond and his fiancé. Were they going to get married or not? I was at the edge of my seat! Nah.... but this was a another fairly forgettable entry in the series. Hasn't been the same since Ronald Colman was the lead. John Howard doesn't have enough personalty. Neither does Reginald Denny as Algy. John Barrymore was okay, but he got extremely little to do in this one. Might be the worst one yet in the series.
