H.B. Warner takes over for John Barrymore as Col. Nielsen. And he's a very different kind of police chief then the hot blooded Barrymore version. Warner is calm and well mannered and gets plenty of air time here since he gets kidnapped and John Howard as Bulldog Drummond has to postpone his wedding once more to try and find him. J. Carrol Naish looks good as the sneaky spy and add a aggressive lion and you have your suspense. Not always exciting, but it's okay enough for a B-adventure.
